About Me
A senior with honors at DePaul University in Chicago, I expect to graduate in June with BA’s both in journalism and in history of art and architecture.
I’m currently the editor-in-chief of my university’s student-run magazine 14 East, named the national website of the year by the College Media Association. I oversee a 40-person staff to put out news and political articles, as well as feature pieces and creative writing. I’ve also written pieces ranging from a Chicago-based guitar repairist who refurbished Billy Corgan’s stolen guitar, to an investigative piece on book bans.
My biggest strength is reporting and writing about complex topics; I’m also skilled at newsroom leadership, such as managing 15 staff members and 20 contributors on Election Night to publish four articles about notable election issues. I pride myself on reporting that’s transparent and reveals the importance of accountability from our leaders.
I’m eager to join a newsroom where I can contribute to solution-based reporting and publish informative and influential stories.
